The Greek island of Lipsi (or Leipsoi) is located in the Dodecanese island group. Haven’t heard of it? You might be familiar with Lipsi’s more famous neighbors, Rhodes, Patmos, and Kos.
Well, that’s the reason that Lipsi’s municipality is launching an international marketing campaign to help attract more foreign visitors. The slogan behind the campaign is ‘Lipsi Is For Everyone (L.I.F.E.)’ and it will be promoted through an online presentation aimed at international markets.
Shown at virtual tourism fairs and workshops, the campaign also includes special presentations of Lipsi to inform journalists, influencers, and travel agents.
According to Lipsi’s mayor, the aim is to highlight the available elements that are coveted in a post-pandemic world. For instance, sustainability, ecology, cuisine, tradition, etc. He believes that the COVID experience has turned the spotlight towards small island destinations that can offer a safe and authentic holiday experience.
The L.I.F.E. messaging will be communicated through virtual tourism exhibitions based in Austria, the United Kingdom, and Romania as well as digital workshops in France, Italy, and Germany.
The launch of this new campaign comes after a very successful tourism season. Between July and October 2021, the number of people visiting Lipsi reached almost the same as it was in pre-pandemic 2019.
