The Greek ferry company Alpha Lines has released its 2022 ferry schedule for the Speed Cat vessel. Below you can find the detailed timetables that will apply for the months of April and May (which includes Greek Easter) as well as from May until October.
April 6 – 20 & April 27 – May 12
During these two separate time periods, there will only be one itinerary per day. This will apply to the entire week.
The Speed Cat will depart from Piraeus port in Athens at 9:00 and arrive at the port of Poros at 10:10. The ferry will stay docked for ten minutes. At 10:20 the ferry will travel from Poros to Hydra, arriving at 10:50. At approximately 11:00 the ship will sail to Spetses, arriving at 11:35. The return route from Spetses will depart at 16:00, arrive in Hydra by 16:35, and then leave from there at 16:45. The ship will arrive in Poros at 17:15 and wait ten minutes. Then at 17:25, it will leave Poros and head to Piraeus, finally docking for the night there at 18:35.
April 21
On Thursday, April 21, there will be two schedules with slightly different itineraries.
1) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus at 12:30 and arrive at Poros by 13:40. It will leave again after ten minutes and arrive at the port of Hydra at 14:20. At 14:30 the ship will depart from Hydra and go to Spetses. It is scheduled to arrive there at 15:05. At 15:15 the ship will travel from Spetses to Hydra (15:50 arrival). Then at 16:00 the Speed Cat will head to Poros (16:30 arrival) and wait five minutes. At 16:35 the ferry will sail from Poros back to Piraeus, arriving in Athens at 17:45.
2) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus at 18:10 and head directly to Hydra (19:30 arrival). At 19:40 it will depart from Hydra and travel to Spetses (20:15 arrival). At 20:25 the ferry will sail from Spetses to Hydra (21:00 arrival) and stay there for ten minutes. At 21:10 the ship will travel from Hydra to Piraeus (22:30 arrival).
April 22 & April 23
On Friday, April 22, and Saturday, April 23 there will be two ferry schedules with slightly different itineraries. However, both of these days will follow the same schedule.
1) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus at 9:30, arrive at Poros port at 10:40, and wait there for ten minutes. At 10:50 the ship will sail to Hydra (11:20 arrival) and then at 11:30, it will depart from there. At 12:05 it will arrive in Spetses. Ten minutes later, at 12:15, the return route will begin. The ship will sail back to Hydra (12:50 arrival). Then at 13:00 the Speed Cat will leave Hydra and head towards Poros (13:30 arrival). At 13:40 the ferry will go to Piraeus (14:40 arrival).
2) At 15:15 the Speed Cat vessel from Alpha Lines will depart from Piraeus port and go straight to Hydra (16:35 arrival). Ten minutes later the ship will sail from Hydra to Spetses (17:20 arrival). At 17:30 the ship will return from Spetses and go to Hydra (18:05 arrival) and then directly back to Piraeus (19:30 arrival).
April 24 (Easter)
Sunday, April 24, is Greek Easter. On this day the Speed Cat vessel will only have one schedule.
At 10:00 the ship will depart from Piraeus and sail to Poros (11:10 arrival). At 11:20 it will travel from Poros to Hydra (11:50 arrival). Ten minutes later the ferry will leave Hydra and go to Spetses (12:35 arrival). Later on, at 18:30 the Speed Cat will depart from Spetses and go to Hydra (19:05). At 19:15 it will leave Hydra and go to Poros (19:45 arrival). At 19:55 the ferry will travel from Poros to Piraeus (21:05 arrival).
April 25 & April 26
On Monday, April 25, and Tuesday, April 26 there will be two ferry schedules with slightly different itineraries. However, both of these days will follow the same schedule.
1) The ferry will depart from Piraeus at 9:00, sail to Poros (10:10 arrival) and then wait there for five minutes. At 10:15 the ship will go from Poros to Hydra (10:45 arrival) and then wait for ten minutes. At 10:55 the ship will travel from Hydra to Spetses (11:30 arrival). On the way back, the Speed Cat will leave from Spetses at 11:40 and arrive at Hydra’s port at 12:15. At 12:25 the ship will leave Hydra head to Poros (12:55 arrival). Then at 13:05, it will travel from Poros to Piraeus (14:15 arrival).
2) At 14:40 the ship will sail from Piraeus straight to Hydra (16:00 arrival). After ten minutes it will leave Hydra and head to Spetses (16:45). Then at 16:55, it’s time to head back. The ship will go from Spetses to Hydra (17:30 arrival) and then after ten minutes from Hydra to Piraeus (19:00 arrival).
April 30
On Saturday, April 30, there will be two separate ferry schedules between Piraeus and Spetses. Please note that there will only be a return ferry available with the first schedule option.
1) At 9:30 the Speed Cat vessel will sail from Piraeus port to Poros (10:40 arrival). Ten minutes later the ship will sail from Poros to Hydra (11:20 arrival). Then at 11:30, it will sail to Septses, arriving there at 12:05. After waiting twenty-five minutes, it will leave Spetses at 13:30 and head to Hydra (14:05 arrival). At 14:15 it will sail to Poros (14:45 arrival) and wait ten minutes. Finally, at 14:55 the ferry will go to Piraeus (16:05 arrival).
2) At 17:00 the Speed Cat vessel will travel from Piraeus to Poros (18:10 arrival) and then at 18:20 it will depart again for Hydra (18:50 arrival). After five minutes, the ship will leave Hydra and sail to Spetses (19:30 arrival). It will stay docked in Speteses until the following afternoon.
May 1
On Sunday, May 1, there will only be only one ferry schedule, and it will be the return journey from Spetses to Piraeus.
At 16:00 the Speed Cat will leave Spetses and sail to Hydra (16:35 arrival). Then at 16:45 it will leave Hydra and go to Poros (17:15 arrival). At 17:25 the ship will leave Poros and head back to Piraeus (18:35 arrival).
May 13 – May 26
During this time period, there will be two separate ferry schedules per day.
1) The ship will depart from Piraeus at 9:00 and head to Poros (10:10 arrival). At 10:20 the ferry will go to Hydra (10:50 arrival) and wait for ten minutes. At 11:00 the ship will travel to Spetses, arriving there at 11:35. At 11:45 the ferry will go from Spetses to Hydra (12:20 arrival time). Ten minutes later the ship will sail directly from Hydra to Pireus (13:50 arrival).
2) At 14:14 the Speed Cat vessel will travel from Piraeus, skip Poros and stop at Hydra (15:35). At 15:45 the ferry will leave Hydra and sail to Spetses (16:20 arrival). Ten minutes later it will go from Spetses to Hydra (17:05). At 17:15 the ship will travel to Poros (17:45 arrival) and then after ten minutes back to Piraeus (19:00 arrival).
May 27 – October 2
During this time period, there will be two separate ferry schedules per day. The itineraries will be the same every day of the week except for Friday and Sunday.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
For these days of the week, two different schedules are available.
1) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from the port of Piraeus at 9:30 and sail to Poros (10:40 arrival) and then Hydra (11:20 arrival). At 11:30 the ship will go from Hydra to Spetses (12:05 arrival) and wait there for ten minutes. At 12:15 the ferry will travel from Spetses to Hydra (12:50 arrival) and wait for ten minutes. The ship will skip Poros and head straight from Hydra to Piraeus (14:20 arrival).
2) At 14:45 the Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus, skip Poros, and go to Hydra (16:05 arrival). At 16:15 the ship will go to Spetses (16:50 arrival) and wait for ten minutes. At 17:00 the ferry will go to Hydra (17:35 arrival) and then Poros (18:15 arrival). After five minutes the ship will depart from Poros and go to Piraeus (19:30 arrival).
Fridays
For every Friday during this time period between May and October, there will be two ferry schedules to choose from.
1) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from the port of Piraeus at 9:30 and sail to Poros (10:40 arrival) and then Hydra (11:20 arrival). At 11:30 the ship will go from Hydra to Spetses (12:05 arrival) and wait there for ten minutes. At 12:15 the ferry will travel from Spetses to Hydra (12:50 arrival) and wait for ten minutes. At 13:00 it will go to Poros (13:30 arrival) and then after ten minutes, back to Piraeus (14:50 arrival).
2) At 15:15 the ship will go from Piraeus directly to Hydra (16:35 arrival) and wait ten minutes there. At 16:45 the ferry will leave Hydra and sail to Spetses (17:20 arrival). At 17:30 it will back to Hydra (18:05 arrival), skip Poros and stop for the night in Piraeus at 19:30.
Sundays
For every Sunday during this time, there will be two ferry schedule options.
1) At 11:00 the Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus, head to Poros (12:10 arrival), and then Hydra (12:50 arrival). Ten minutes later, the ship will depart from Hydra and travel to Spetses (13:35 arrival). At 13:45 it will leave Spetses and go back to Hydra (14:20 arrival), skip Poros and get back to Piraeus port by 15:50.
2) At 16:25 the ship will depart from Piraeus, skip Poros, and arrive at Hydra at 17:35. Then at 17:45 he leaves Hydra and gets to Spetses at 18:20. Ten minutes later the ferry will go from Spetses to Hydra (19:05 arrival). At 19:15 it will go to Poros (19:45 arrival). After five minutes it will leave Poros and arrive back to Piraeus at 21:00.
October 3 – October 31
During the month of October, there are various ferry schedules for the Speed Cat vessel. Read on for all the details.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
For most of the weekdays during this month, the ferry will leave from Piraeus at 9:00 and get to Poros at 10:10. Then at 10:20, it will get to Hydra (10:50 arrival) and then at 11:00 leave for Spetses (11:35 arrival). At 16:25 the ship will leave Spetses and get to Hydra (17:00 arrival). After ten minutes it will depart from Hydra and sail to Poros (17:40 arrival) and then finally Piraeus (19:00 arrival).
Fridays
For the first three Fridays in October, there will be two ferry schedules.
1) The Speed Cat vessel will depart from Piraeus at 9:30, get to Poros at 10:40, and then after ten minutes sail to Hydra (11:20 arrival). At 11:30 the ship will go to Spetses (12:05 arrival). Ten minutes later the ferry will return to Hydra (12:50 arrival). At 13:00 it will go to Poros (13:30 arrival) and then on to Piraeus (14:50 arrival).
2) At 15:45 the Speed Cat will depart from Piraeus, arriving in Poros at 16:55. At 17:05 the ship will go to Hydra (17:35 arrival). Ten minutes later the ferry will leave Hydra and go back to Poros (18:15 arrival). Five minutes later the ship will leave Poros and head to Piraeus (19:30 arrival).
Sundays
For Sundays during this month, there will be two ferry schedules operating daily.
1) The ferry will leave from Piraeus at 9:00 and get to Poros at 10:10. Then at 10:20, it will get to Hydra (10:50 arrival). At 11:00 the ship will sail to Spetses (11:35 arrival) and wait there for ten minutes. At 12:20 the Speed Cat will arrive in Hydra and then at 12:30 it will skip Poros and go back to Piraeus (13:50 arrival).
2) At 14:15 the Speed Cat vessel will leave Piraeus, skip Poros, and go straight to Hydra (15:35 arrival). After five minutes it will go to Spetses (16:15 arrival) and then back to Hydra (17:00 arrival). At 17:15 the ship will go from Hydra to Poros (17:40 arrival). Ten minutes later the ferry will depart Poros and go back to Piraeus port in Athens (19:00 arrival).
October 27
On Thursday, October 27, the ferry will operate differently. There will be two ferry schedules available.
1) The ferry will leave from Piraeus at 9:00 and get to Poros at 10:10. Then at 10:20, it will get to Hydra (10:50 arrival). Ten minutes later the ship will sail from Hydra back to Poros (11:30 arrival). At 11:40 it will return to Piraeus (12:50 arrival).
2) The Speed Cat vessel will depart Pireaus port at 17:00, arriving in Poros at 18:10. Ten minutes later the ship will sail from Poros to Hydra (18:50 arrival) and then to Spetses (19:35 arrival). The return trip will begin ten minutes later when the ferry goes from Spetses to Hydra (20:20 arrival). Ten minutes later it will leave Hydra, skip Poros and finally dock in Piraeus for the night (21:50 arrival).
October 28
On Friday, October 28 it is Oxi Day and the ferry will operate differently. There will be only one itinerary in place.
The Speed Cat vessel from Alpha Lines will depart the port of Piraeus at 9:00, get to Poros at 10:10 and then leave for Hydra ten minutes later. The ferry will arrive in Hydra at 10:50, wait ten minutes and then sail to Spetses (11:35 arrival). Later in the day at 16:25, the ship will leave Spetses and head to Hydra (17:00). After ten minutes it will depart Hydra and continue to Poros (17:40 arrival). At 17:50 the ship will make the last trip of the day, back to Piraeus port (19:00 arrival).
