With Easter approaching, holders of the Greek social tourism voucher can take advantage of a unique opportunity for a ferry getaway thanks to the highly enhanced program offered by the Directorate of Market Policy Services (DPS) for 2024. This program subsidizes tourist accommodation stays as well as ferry tickets to incredible destinations. Program beneficiaries have the opportunity to enjoy up to 12 nights free of charge in select areas of Greece.
Subsidized Ferry Tickets
Social Tourism Tickets are exclusively Economy Class and their price is differentiated according to the broader ticket category to which they belong and the period during which they are used. In particular, beneficiaries are entitled to 25% for the general category and up to 20% for large families, while for people with disabilities, ferry tickets are offered free of charge. This initiative underlines the program’s commitment to offering recreational opportunities to a wide range of Greek society, making happy holidays even more accessible and available to all.
Subsidized Tourist Accommodation
Program beneficiaries can also spend up to six nights in subsidized tourist accommodations (selected from the Registry of Providers of DYPA), with the possibility of further nights on select islands without any charge. When it comes to accommodation on lovely islands such as Leros, Lesvos, Chios, and Kos, the number of no-charge nights can reach up to 10, while for beneficiaries visiting destinations such as Rhodes, North Evia, and Samos, the program can cover up to 12 nights.
The current 2023 – 2024 social tourism program lasts until 30 June 2024, allowing all beneficiaries to explore and enjoy the hospitality and beauty offered around Greece throughout spring and part of summer.
