Ippocampo Check-In & Boarding
Arrival Time
Make sure to get to the port at least 1 hour before your ferry leaves. If you already have a pre-booked or return ticket, be at the boarding gate no later than 15 minutes before departure to keep your spot. For return trips, don’t forget to reserve your return seat at least 2 hours before the ferry you want to catch.

After booking, you’ll get your eTicket as a handy PDF by email — ready to print or just show from your phone. No paper tickets needed!
Web Check-In
Online check-in isn’t available, so you’ll need to check in at the port on the day of travel.
Vehicles on Board
Ippocampo vessels are for foot passengers only — cars and larger vehicles won’t fit. But you’re welcome to bring a bicycle, folding bike, or folding scooter (up to 150 cm total size) for just €3 each way.
Required Documents
Have your ticket and ID ready when you board. If you’re using a discount, bring the paperwork to prove it. The crew may check tickets and documents during the trip. Heads up — boarding without a valid ticket could cost you up to four times the normal fare.

- Double-check the latest schedule before you travel, changes happen sometimes due to weather or other reasons.
- Weapons are strictly forbidden, and the crew may refuse boarding if anyone appears unfit to travel due to health, intoxication, or other safety concerns.
- Once on board, please follow the crew’s instructions, stay seated during the crossing, and help keep things safe for everyone.

Ippocampo Pet Policy
Pets are welcome on Ippocampo vessels, so you can bring your pet along for the trip! Just follow a few simple guidelines to make sure everyone enjoys the journey:
- Pets over 10 kg must stay in the ship’s kennel located on the open deck.
- Smaller pets (under 10 kg) can stay with you, but must be in a secure pet carrier.
- Dogs must always wear a muzzle and be on a leash when outside their carrier.
- Pets are not allowed inside passenger areas and must stay in designated outdoor spaces.
- Free roaming is not permitted. Pets must be supervised and controlled at all times.
- Service dogs are allowed throughout the ship and are exempt from kennel rules, provided they have valid certification.
- A pet ticket may be required, depending on your route. Check with customer support when booking.
- Don’t forget to bring your pet’s passport, health certificate, or service dog license as needed.
Owners are fully responsible for feeding, caring for, and supervising their pets during the crossing. Be sure to bring all the essentials your pet might need for a comfortable and safe trip.

Ippocampo Luggage Allowance
When traveling with Ippocampo, you’re allowed to bring personal luggage such as suitcases, backpacks, or travel bags, but make sure to follow these simple rules:
- On ferries, you can bring one bag up to 50 × 30 × 15 cm in size and 10 kg in weight.
- On fast vessels, the luggage limit is 5 kg per passenger.
- Extra luggage may be accepted for an additional fee — ask at the port or during booking our support team.
- All luggage must stay clear of seats, aisles, and emergency exits to avoid blocking other passengers.
- The company is not responsible for any damage or loss if luggage rules are not followed.
Tip: Only bring what you can comfortably carry, and double-check your route’s luggage limits when booking to avoid surprises!
