The Liberty Lines company was founded in 1993 by the Neapolitan shipowner Vittorio Morace.

The company was founded on the island of Ustica, which is exactly what Morace initially named his company. Initially, the company merely offered connections between the ports of Naples, Ustica, Favignana, Trapani, Pantelleria and Kelibia in Tunisia. These routes represented the beginning of a rapid and significant expansion for the company.

This sudden growth led to changing the company’s name to something that truly encapsulated its identity. This is how Liberty Lines was born.
